Valerian Root (dried)
The 'go-to' herb for supporting the nervous system
Valerian Root for horses and dogs is used to help calm, strengthen and support the nervous system in horses, dogs and other animals, without drowsiness. We use it in our supplements to help calm anxiety, nervousness, fear and stress in horses, dogs and cats particularly when it is connected with competition, showing, previous bad treatment, fear of loud noises such as thunderstorms and fireworks, or the introduction of new training. The amount to give varies by animal type and size, for further information on this please contact our helpline. Valerian Root is the ideal supplement for supporting a healthy balanced nervous system. We include Valerian Root in our Equine Calm & Collected range or our Easy Mare range.
Ingredients:
Valerian cut root (Valeriana officinalis)
Feeding Guide:
- Horses: 10 to 20 grams daily (one 15ml scoop = approx 8.5 grams)
- Add to feed on a daily basis, if possible splitting the required amount between two feeds
- Allow up to one month for benefits to be seen
*please note: we do not include feeding instructions on the packaging or include a scoop in the bag or tub. This is due to the consistency of straight herbs eg roots are more dense than leaves or flowers, and they can be given to a variety of species.
Please note that we cannot send supplements to Australia without a valid BICON permit.
Australian citizens will need to obtain a BICON permit prior to purchase & send us the documentation prior to export.
